On arrival

Met by the Panorama Expedition team at Kuala Lumpur International Airport and escorted to the VIP van for transfer to your selected Kuala Lumpur hotel.

Afternoon

Kuala Lumpur orientation tour, subject to flight arrival time: Petronas Twin Towers photo stop, Merdeka Square, Sultan Abdul Samad Building, River of Life, Central Market, Chinatown (Petaling Street), Jalan Alor food street and an optional rooftop lounge overlooking the skyline.

Evening

Malaysian welcome dinner. Your guide introduces the journey ahead and prepares you for the expedition briefing.

Morning

Collected from your hotel by the Panorama Expedition Toyota Hiace H300 and transferred to the Panorama Expedition Centre.

At the Centre

Welcome by the expedition team, freshly brewed coffee and local breakfast, introduction to the expedition, route presentation, safety briefing, vehicle familiarisation, GPS and navigation briefing, recovery equipment demonstration, radio communication briefing, luggage loading, merchandise presentation, group photograph and official flag-off.

Vehicle handover

Self-drive guests receive their fully prepared Land Rover Defender with full tank, GPS, recovery equipment, first aid kit, emergency contact equipment, drinking water and expedition handbook. Chauffeur-driven guests travel in the same vehicle with an experienced expedition driver.

Midday

Recommended refreshment stop at Bentong for traditional coffee, local pastries and fresh tropical fruits.

Afternoon

Journey to Taman Negara through scenic countryside, local villages, rubber and palm plantations and rolling hills.

On arrival

Check in, then free time to explore depending on arrival time: Canopy Walkway, riverside stroll, Orang Asli cultural introduction or sunset at the Tembeling River.

Evening

Traditional rainforest dinner overlooking the river. Your expedition leader briefs you on tomorrow.

Morning

Breakfast overlooking the Tembeling River, then jungle trekking with an experienced nature guide, the Canopy Walkway (one of the world's longest suspended rainforest walkways), Bukit Teresek viewpoint, wildlife and bird watching, and rainforest interpretation.

Lunch

Lunch at Mutiara Taman Negara Resort or a riverside restaurant serving traditional Malaysian cuisine.

Afternoon

Choose from rapid shooting on the Tembeling River, an Orang Asli village visit with traditional blowpipe demonstration, a river cruise, fishing (optional), a photography expedition, or relaxation at the resort.

Evening

Guided night jungle walk after dinner - nocturnal insects, reptiles, frogs and with luck larger rainforest animals in their natural habitat.

Morning

Breakfast by the Tembeling River, then depart Taman Negara south through scenic rainforest roads, traditional villages, rubber plantations and rolling landscapes.

Refreshment stop

Jerantut - local coffee, fresh tropical fruits and traditional Malaysian snacks.

Scenic drive

Secondary scenic roads, traditional kampung villages, rubber and palm plantations, forest reserve roads and mountain scenery with many photo opportunities.

On arrival

Endau Rompin National Park, one of Southeast Asia's oldest rainforests - crystal-clear rivers, spectacular waterfalls and wildlife including tapirs, hornbills, gibbons and occasionally wild elephants.

Evening

Traditional Malaysian dinner at the lodge. Your guide briefs you on tomorrow's jungle adventure.

Morning

After breakfast, meet your experienced park guide and head deep into one of Malaysia's most pristine rainforests: guided jungle trekking, Buaya Sangkut Waterfall, natural rock pools for swimming, rainforest interpretation, and wildlife tracking and bird watching.

Lunch

Traditional picnic lunch by the river, surrounded by untouched rainforest.

Afternoon

Choose your adventure: river tubing, kayaking (seasonal), more jungle trails, wildlife observation, relaxing by the river or jungle photography.

Evening

Return to the lodge for dinner. Optional campfire (weather permitting), night nature walk and astrophotography under the rainforest sky.

Morning

After breakfast, depart Endau Rompin on a scenic drive towards Kuantan on the East Coast, through Kahang, Rompin District and Kuala Rompin - forest and plantation landscapes, traditional fishing villages and the South China Sea coastline.

Lunch

Kuala Rompin - fresh seafood overlooking the South China Sea. Local specialities include butter prawns, fresh grilled fish, salted egg squid and traditional Malay cuisine.

Afternoon

Arrive Kuantan. Check in and relax at your beachfront resort. Swim or explore Teluk Cempedak Beach and the promenade.

Evening

Farewell seafood dinner by the beach, celebrating the completion of your expedition.

Morning

Breakfast, then a leisurely morning by the beach and free time to relax before departure.

Scenic drive

Scenic coastal drive back towards Kuala Lumpur via Temerloh, Genting Sempah and Bangi - palm oil plantations, local townships, rolling hills and countryside.

At the Centre

Arrive the Panorama Expedition Centre. Freshen up (shower facilities, luggage storage and free wifi), browse the expedition gallery and souvenir shop.
